localevents.city is a free event discovery platform. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

What we collect

• Email address — if you subscribe to our weekly digest. We store this to send you event updates for your city.
• City preference — the city you select or that is detected via your browser's geolocation (with your permission). We use this to show you relevant events.

We do not collect names, passwords, payment details, or any other personal information.

Geolocation

If you allow it, your browser shares your approximate location so we can redirect you to your nearest city's event page. We do not store your location — it is used only to look up your nearest city and is discarded immediately after.

How we use your email

We use your email address solely to send the localevents.city weekly digest for your city. We publish every Friday. We do not share, sell, or rent your email address to anyone.

Unsubscribing

Every digest email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also contact us to be removed at any time.

Third-party services

• Resend — we use Resend to deliver digest emails. Your email address is shared with Resend for delivery purposes only. See Resend's privacy policy.
• Google Fonts — we load fonts from Google Fonts. This may result in your IP address being shared with Google. See Google's privacy policy.

Cookies & tracking

We do not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies, or third-party tracking scripts. We use localStorage in your browser to remember your city selection so returning visits are instant. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Data retention

We keep your email address for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your email is deleted from our systems.
